Hi folks newbie here,
recently purchased SDOE and dabled in opstudio for a look. I attemped to add guns on an aircraft and edited it's loadout file to suit, following the opstudio help file (step 6 finishing touches), but to no avail can't fire the guns ahhhhhhhhh, hellllllp.
I've reread the instructions and ensured the editing followed the files format but cannot seem to crack it please help, thx in advance

P.S.
Seeing that im a cluster with this program would anyone like to model the Martin/Baker prototype MB-3 with 6 20mm cannon I have some info from the company of the series if it is of any help (same engine as typhoon & 20mm cannon of spit).

Make sure you're not confusing the MODEL of the gun with the "logical" gun. There will be (usually) a 3D object that looks like a gun, but that's NOT the gun In OPS, you'll see something like "gunsLeft" or "cannonLeft" which is the model. It has no particular "gun properties," and only looks like a gun. You'll also see some things that say "gun1," "gun2," etc. If you click on one, you only get a little arrow figure. THOSE are the guns. You move those around to correspond with the barrels of the model, and you have to make sure they have the correct gun properties so that they're recognized.

You also have to look at the pilot model and make sure the "operator" of your new guns is the pilot. The pilot model contains the list of guns he fires.

Lastly, make sure you've included the new guns in one of the "gun chains" in the loadout.ppf file, and that you've actually given some ammo to the guns. If you make cannons, you might have to actually select cannons as a weapon before they'll fire, unless you dedicate a keypress to the cannons.
