I've seen on occation that the pilot becomes invisible. He's there, he manouvers his plane, but he cannot be seen.On other occations I've noticed that when you jump, there's no parashute, or it's there, but not attached to the pilot. I've examined the pilot .sm files, and I cannot understand how these can be. Ideas anyone? _ /Bjorn.

A pilot edited in OPS v1.0 will lose his chute. It shifts the obRopePts property so that the chute is not connected to the pilot. It can be edited directly to repair it. I haven't checked it out using the latest OPS version. Not sure about the disappearing pilot tho. That's usually due to something getting screwed up in a parfile, or somebody's "custom" pilot having the same name as a generic pilot, but with texture references that point to the wrong place I think. ------------------ --jedi-- IP: Logged |

Yes, a pilot opened and saved (with or without changes) in OPS V1.2.0 results in a "buggish" pilot - no chute and the flight behavior (at least for the I16) of the plane gets changed. Compare a "fresh" pilot.asc with an "opened-and-saved" one. Somehow some things are mixed up. Not sure with OPS V1.2.1LK IP: Logged |

the pilot level 1 LOD is usually blank, but its switchin distance should be 9 or something, so you shouldn't notice it. I still think we should change the level 1 LOD though, because SDOE uses the level 1 LODs for hit detection (i've heard).charm IP: Logged | |
