Hi!

I downloaded and installed extractorII and now I have a very basic question;

how do I launch the program?

When I doubleclick any of the .exe files I just see a Dos window(?) flicker and then nothing.
Now, someone is probably laughing at me right now since there must be something very basic I´ve missed. Could someone please tell me what that is? There was no readme with the the download so...
Perhaps someone also could point me to any source on the web with tutorials perhaps? I´ve been to SV´s site already. Very good, but I´d love to read more.

Thanks/Robert

PS.Since I wrote this I´ve read Tailslides post on FM tweaking and think I understand now, I have to start it in a Dos-window right?
I tried to delete this post but wasn´t allowed to.DS

Yeah ! Right !

Start it in the Dos window. I found it usefull to rename the extractor to "X.exe" and the builder to "B.exe" and do this all in an extra folder (call it hangar or something like this )

then just type: X Pe2 (sm file) Pe2 (name of the extracted files, i.e. Pe2054.lod) and start messing with your asc file and LOD´s
.

BTW - I dont understand what the newest versions is - personally I feel most comfortable with björns version of hippies extracor - no limits on anything. GrHaggaga - enough for today, uhm its late...

good night ! Lk
