Hey guys,

well, after looking at the alterations I've made to the new terrain, I aint happy, ok, in D3D it was a little chunky, but bearable for now.. but damn, in Glide! Crap to say the least, angles and texture glitches everywhere.

OK, I looked at it again in Max, and thought that the Mesh Smooth would help.. well, it put alot more points on the mesh.. but it's still chunky, how do I smooth out a mesh in Max? Don't tell me I now have to go in after using the Mesh Smooth and start manualy moving all the new points till corners start looking rounded, there must be an easier way.

I'm using Max2, but I'm sure any info from Max2.5 or 3 users will come in handy.

If anyone think they could smooth a model out easily then I'd be glad to let them take a look at it (aslong as I get an explination )

Thanks Guys

When I make models for SDOE, I generally avoid using smoothing groups. I also avoid importing/exporting them. To smooth out any seams, simply weld the vertices of any adjacent polygons.

Here's a link to my Max smoothing tutorial from long ago. It shows how to smooth a wing, but the technique is applicable to many situations.
