Author Topic:   faster flybys? charmstar Pilot posted 04-06- 02:48 PM                I'm curious if there is any way to disable level 1 LODs if closing speed is greater than xxx? Or, is this already being done? It seems to me when I go headon with an enemy or three, right as we pass the screenrate goes to pot. I assume its because the high detail LODs are switching in, even though I don't really care about them since they will quickly be gone. So, I'd like to be able to disable them, but only in the case that closing speed is say 100+ knots. I dont think this is possible, isnīt the switchin coupled with the lod and not with the props for the lod ? Only way I could imagine is when we get something like if airspeed x then hide/unhide "name". Is it possible to get the distance value from the other planes ? IP: Logged
