ok, i've been working on the new Ki-61 Model and i'm Texture mapping the parts as i go to make my life a little easier. well the mapping i put on them doesn't seem to save. if i load a part back in AC3D and load the texture theres nothing there. Any ideas?

Not that much help but ....

I remember something about this in SV's notes, you may want to refer back to them if a solution doesn't come forth.

This is what I was refering to. But in hind site it may be a few steps before where your up to. Hope its of some help anyway.

"Step 2: Load the skin texture onto the square.
In object mode with only the square object selected, click on object -> texture -> load texture. Now find the skin texture tif file. Now you may or may not see the texture loaded correctly like the picture below:

Check the 3D view to see if it is there - for some reason AC3D doesn't always show you the texture in the ortho windows even when you have "show textures" set for it. Now depending on what axis your rectangle is on, you may need to remap texture coords. Click on object -> texture -> remap texture coords. Now select an axis. Then check in the 3D view window. Keep trying axis until the texture looks like the above picture."
