I have been working on a drop tank for the planes. I did manage to get it to pull fuel from the tanks, but the only problem is when they are dropped, it continues to get fuel from them. The way I did it was to delete all the fuel cells from the plane and let it only use the Drop Tanks. It does work, but it continues to get fuel from them even when they dropped. Do you have any idea how to make it stop getting fuel from them when they are dropped? Also, how is the fuel system set up? Does the engine first get fuel from the Main tanks and then switches to the Aux tanks?------------------ Thanks, James "Razor747" Smith Check out the SDOE Flight Line! Would an (onChildDetach 'Drop Tank(engFuelsource 'main) work? Once the drop tank is dropped, the engine fuel source will switch to the main tanks.------------------ Cheers! Jaguar The FS Hangar IP: Logged |

Iff, the engine recognises the tank as a child that detaches. Does it? _ /Bjorn.IP: Logged |

The tank would haveto be a part of the plane, always there. This wouldn't work if you had it as a loadout.IP: Logged |

Jaguar, The tanks are loaded with the Loadout.ppf You don't have to have them on all the missions I looked at how the bomb was made and went from there. You can drop them just like bombs. Right now it is uses the model of a bomb that I changed to work as a drop tank. I will remodel it later. I am still in the process of fixing it.------------------ Thanks, James "Razor747" Smith Check out the SDOE Flight Line! I am constantly adding new things. Click on image above to go to my site.

Thats how I set up my tanks, but if you want the engine to stop pulling fuel from them after they are dropped, you will haveto have them apart of the plane sm. Having them activated in the loadout.ppf file, you won't have any control over them. [This message has been edited by Jaguar (edited 03-26-2000).] IP: Logged |
