There's this thing I don't understand. On the P47 the entire tail section is the weak spot. It's so easy to shoot it off, at least in comparison to everything else on that plane. Yet, it's made to be rough. No less than 200 obHits (compare with 400 for the entire fuselage, 70 for the wing tips.) Seemingly it's not the obHits that are too low for the tail, but rather that it for some reason absorbs most of the punishment.

Can someone explain this to me? I had a similar problem, but the reversed, for the engine on the Spit IX, where I had to lower it to 5 obhits if it was to ever get any damage.

Maybe it has the same reason as the trouble I´ve got yesterday. Maybe some of the tail-object polyflags are not set up right, so they dont count hits. I dont know. A closer look on the lod file should give an answer to this.
