Well, I found a website with a nice detailed diagram of the Macchi MC205 cockpit, but it was in Italian. So, I figured I'd try one of those online translation pages. I went to translator.go.com, and typed in the web address of the site to be translated (www.museoscienza.org/english/aereo/205_dis_6.html), and then the fun began!

So, who can guess what is a "Throttle of rearmament by hand skillful machinegun" or how about a, "Pipe front and posterior for implantation support seat to the pavement". That one sounds painful to me... I do have to admit that an, "Attack dismissal commando direction rudder" sounds like just the ticket with a bogey on your 6... how could the Italians have ever lost a dogfight with something as cool sounding as that? :-)

That brings up a good point. I want to do the Ki-61 cockpit as real as i can make it. That include Japanese writing on the dash. Is this something we would like to see?

I'd love to see Japanese gauges! Maybe a set could be done up and shared with the Zero, and any other japanese plane that is created. Is anybody here literate in Japanese though? I guess if you have pictures of the gauges, that is probably good enough.

Oh, I do think that the exterior of the plane and the FM and DM are more important to start with, but it would be a great starter project for somebody who is multilingual and wants to help... they could do Japanese gauge textures!

I have all the stuff i need, and i even shared the site that was sent to me with Mposis to help with the Zero cockpit. We have real images of the orignal gauges in all the japanese planes.

I remeber from years ago, NEC PABX install manuals who's advise was to carefully lower the crate from the truck using a "water goat".
