Just so that no one will miss out on this:The discussion about whether or not obProb's can be used in loadout.ppf made me experiment with obProb's a lot. I think that everywhere there's a property, an obProb can be used. What I especially appreciate is that they can be used for the damage DOFs
Example:
[DOF:x:y]
2 ; kind
0.9991416931 0.1205808669 -2.406637192 ; origin
0.000000000 0.000000000 1.000000000 ; axis
-1.000000000 1.000000000 ; min max
####(obProb (10 (dofSpring 1200000 dofBreak 5) 10 (dofSpring 1320000 dofBreak 5)
10 (dofSpring 1400000 dofBreak 5) 10 (dofSpring 1080000 dofBreak 5) 10 (dofSpri
ng 1200000 dofBreak 4) 10 (dofSpring 1320000 dofBreak 4) 10 (dofSpring 1400000 d
ofBreak 4) 10 (dofSpring 1080000 dofBreak 4) 10 (dofSpring 1200000 dofBreak 6) 1
0 (dofSpring 1200000 dofBreak 7)))####
Friggin great! No more both wings snapping off at the exact same moment. Hippie's builder is picky about DOF properties being on one line only, though, so you might be in for long lines.
Of course they can be used for more static thingies, like the engine power, max RPM, fuel consumption, plane mass, etc.
I did not manage to alter obHits with obProb's, but chances are it was my error and that it really does work, but even if it doesn't, an "onDmg 1 (obProb (1 (obExplode)))" pretty much settles things anyway.
Just wanted to share my findings from the last few days of experimentation.
