Argh. Im on a german keyboard and cant figure out punctuation. Anzhow, is anybody interested in working together to create an additional Japanese or Italian aircraft. I would like to work with some people to build a Macchi MC 202 or 205, or an Aichi Val, or mazbe one of those nifty Fiat biplanes. The advantage to doing a Val would be to allow us to have some better missions than just CAP for the Japanese, and also would be a good start for work on a Stuka. Of course, if we built a MC202, a 205 would be easy to do from there, and would greatly enhance the African theater. I dont have it in me to complete an entire plane on my own, but Iäd love to be part of a team effort.charm IP: Logged |

Spanky here... I hearby ask for a Japanese Bomber. That would be great. then we would have 2 fighters and a bomber which is how the germans and us started in this game. IP: Logged |

I'm leaning pretty heavily towards doing the Macchi. I thought I'd start with the 205, even though it was "limited edition," because it has cannons. Seems to me a plane with only 4 machineguns is going to be at a bit of a disadvantage.Once the 205 is done, the 202 would be easy enough to reverse-engineer as a varient. The parts I'm not real keen on doing are the cockpit and the skin. But Lozano seems to have the Italian skin thing down pretty well I figured I'd just steal one of his. As for the cockpit, well, hopefully a cockpit guru would step up. If not, I hope the 109 cockpit is popular ------------------ --jedi-- IP: Logged |

Right now, I am moving (er, websucker is, actually) Hodge Podge (my website) into a new home (I sold my soul for 3 years to MSN, for a digital camera, Kodak 240, comes with all the cables, looks nice so far ). This translates into a possible delay in my Weds updates (maybe Thurs) since I have to get used to the new stuff. Anyways, what this is leading to, is I need a quick show of hands of which plane they want to see up at 'The Lost Boyds' first:MC.200 (sweet) MC.202 (semi sweet) Cz1007 (sweet - semi sweet) CR32 (sweet) CR42 (semi sweet) Betty (semi sweet) Val (semi sweet) betty (semi sweet) kate (sweet) George (can't remember, been 2 weeks) A20 (solid nose - semi sweet) Boston (clear nose - sweet) Halifax (semi - sweet) IL-2 (confused as to how porportionate it is) Lagg 5 (Hoggin' it to myself, just ordered the signal for it ) Mig-3 (sweet, maybe semi...) Kaga (sa-weeet!) Battle Ship Generica (semi to sweet) Ca13 (semi sweet) All of these are from fsd files from the net, and I can't find the owners for them (speak up, if you are!)

I have most of those, but some of them have been mentioned as being possibly started by someone else (F6F, B-25, P-61, a few others) that and I was trying to limit the selection to SU/Australia/Japan/Italy. So many good planes, that is why I am going to start the lost boyd's section on my site to give someone a good start on a plane I **know** I have no time to do myself. Some weights to consider when making a decision: - How many planes are already being done/exists for a country - Plane rarity - How much data is available (mainly for the adopter) - You can have 5 million different 109G's in SDOE - no one can claim a plane as his own, it is open, and the next iteration might be better, that and as I had said, it is an oxymoron to say that something is open, but not allow the same plane to be done by 10 different people . I think that we should be thinking a bit about where things will fit in the theatres. For instance, a Betty would be great, because it would really help round out Japan. However, I thought the betty was mostly used in the China campaign, and we do not have the P40, which would be its typical adversary. Other potential bomber type Japanese aircraft... the kate was a torpedo bomber I think, so forget about that. I guess the Val would be good.Looking in the other theater, the Macchi planes would do wonders for the african map. The 200 would get its ass kicked, but if the model is already good enough, then it would make sense to start from there, and then work toward the 202-205. I am willing to do whatever of these planes a group will work with me on. Jedi- if you want to start with the Macchi 205, then I am with you all the way. Whirlwind- any help you could give with the model conversion would be great! charm IP: Logged |

I'll see what I can do between games of Sports Car GT... did I say car, I meant Sports *Plane* GT, yeah that's it, that's the ticket.... You drive, er fly a Mustang, er, P-51 around a track, er, pylons and stuff. You aughta try it some time, yeah, yeah.IP: Logged |

Rayer- Of course we want the hein. I think nobody mentioned it because it seemed like you already have that project in hand (just like nobody mentioned the zero or the 109). If you want some help though, I would be happy to work with you on it... especially doing FM and DM stuff.charm IP: Logged |

Why mention the obvious? These are just plane's I've skimmed of the internet that I personally don't have time to do more than port to SDOE in a raw state (real raw, like bacon just cut from the hog). In no way is the above list a reflection of what development will be limited to. I don't have that power, no one does. I wouldn't want it.Besides, I hadn't skimmed a 61 off the net yet . IP: Logged |

Please finish the Tony, Tony. The lonely Zero needs some company now that the Pacific arena has more US Navy planes. Did you lose the B-25 gunship in your computer fubar? Say it ain't so Tony, say it ain't so. IP: Logged |

well i still have the B25 3D model on the Games HDD, i didn't loose it. but i've run out of time on it and bombers are hard to do compaired to fighters. It may get started in a few days (weeks) but i'm still talking it over with someone. If it gets picked up then i'm sure the progress will be posted on the fourm while it's in development.I'm still trying to learn MAX or Multigen. I've still yet to install MG, just been reading the book. Guess i better install it sometime. ------------------
