HELP ME OUT, HOW DO I GET THE DOF TO REVERSE WHILE KEEPING THE TIME DELAYS, I HAVE BEEN WORKING ON A F4F4 DOF THAT MAKES THE WING RETRACT AND I HAVE TO TIME IT TO KEEP IT FROM HITTING THE GROUND, BUT WHEN I PUT THE WING OUT, THE TIME DELAYS GO DOWN THE SHITTER. CAN SOME ONE HELP ME OUT?!

Spanky here... So your saying the time is cool one way but not other way? which way is it working and tell us the timing your looking for. I had some fun playing with landing gear and trying to stagger them before so i MIGHT be able to help. I sure someone will.

Yes, the timing is perfect when the wings are folding back, but when I put them back my timing skrews up. I have it set right now where the DOF that rotates the wing goes first, then after 1.5 seconds the angle up DOF kicks in. BUT when I put the wings back, the DOFs activate all at once, not with my 1.5 delay. I put that 1.5 delay so that the wings wouldn't scrape the ground and/or raise the plane high enough that when it drops it breaks the tail gear.IP: Logged |

Open up the P-51 or Corsair in OPS and look at the DOFs for the landing gear. Can't remember the exact way they're set up, or the exact words, but on extension, it's doors first, then struts. On retraction, struts first, then doors. Several delays built in there, but the key is making the delay and the runtime the same for the corresponding parts, i.e. you want the sweep to delay for 4 seconds (while the wing rotates), and then you want the sweep to TAKE 4 seconds. Same for the rotation part. That way, when you reverse the DOF, the rotation is delaying 4 seconds while the wing is unsweeping for 4 seconds. You want the same thing for the Cat wings. To fold, rotate first, then sweep. To extend, unsweep first, then rotate. Once you have that working, you can change the delay slightly if you want to create both motions together.
