Bryan, First let me say that your OPS program is what makes SDOE so great. We could not build the many fine aircraft and objects without it.

We are using OPS ver 1_2_0

Here is my first problem. Zoycite and I made the DVII. After making many modifications using OPS we could no longer extract it without errors. So we are rebuilding it with a fresh model that we know we can extract/build.

I would port over information from our original model using OPS. Then test to be sure we could still extract/build. I did this several times and saved each version.

Then on one try it would not extract properly so I went to the last version I saved. It still E/B ok. I tried to modify again. Again won't E/B. So going back to the last version that worked I just opened it in Ops and then saved it. It worked ok. Then I opened in OPS, clicked on a different part of the plane but did not change anything, Saved and it would not E/B…. Strange isn't it.

I am stumped. Is there a limit to the number of times you can save or how complex the model is? We have several obExec/Func in the model.

One other thing I noticed in OPS ver 1_2_0 is that if I put in an obProb and save it, it works fine, but if I go back into OPS the percent values are gone. I have to put them back in each time I enter OPS.

Everytime I see a new object in SDOE I know it was made using your program. Thanks for providing us with such a great tool.

What error is extractor giving you? Somewhere along the lines between OPS, builder, and extractor, the material tables get ate up. You just have to cut-n-paste the table from a 'clean' and 'unmodified' extracted plane .asc file at the appropriate place. If that isn't it, I'll shut up now.

I can't think of any reason why it would be corrupting anything based on what you have said. I'll look at it over the the weekend and if its a problem and easy I'll put it in the next release which should be V1.2.1.

The obProb thing just sounds like a proplist parsing problem that should be easy to sort out.

Thanks for the feedback guys.

Bryan, would it help if I send you the .sm file that works until I save it again?

Whirlwing how would I know which table is not right? What should I look for?

Doh...I will try and compare the one that does not work to the one that does.

I think that there was discussion on the topic about the middle of last month, in this section of the forum.

Heya Raider Ol' buddy,

I didnt think of looking at this either. And I have run into this on some of the eariler builds. The material list if bad will look something like this:

[MaterialTable:1641:68]0 ; material = cement
7 ; material = glass13 ; material = water
19 ; material = grass25 ; material = sand
30 ; material = rock35 ; material = dirt
40 ; material = mud44 ; material = ice
48 ; material = snow53 ; material = metal
59 ; material = rubber66 ; material = wood
71 ; material = treetop79 ; material = swamp85 ; material =crater92;material=fire1 ;
No more materials
[TextureFile:1717:24]

Instead of like this:

[MaterialTable:1641:68]
0 ; material = cement
7 ; material = glass
13 ; material = water
19 ; material = grass
25 ; material = sand
30 ; material = rock
35 ; material = dirt
40 ; material = mud
44 ; material = ice
48 ; material = snow
53 ; material = metal
59 ; material = rubber
66 ; material = wood
71 ; material = treetop
79 ; material = swamp
85 ; material = crater
92 ; material = fire
-1 ; No more materials
[TextureFile:1717:24]

I'll have a look at this too. Doh! I hope its this simple

I'll mail you in a bit.
