OK, to maybe prematurely start the ball rolling on the S.O.S thing, is there any one who will be putting there hand up to do S.O.S, interested in starting to do a bit a of planning? (S.O.S is Semi-Open OpenPlane Source, in case you didn't know )I'm mainly talking about prioritising features, based on importance and practicability, maybe matching some skill sets up and doing a bit of thinking about how these things could be done.
Perhaps even (assuming enough are interested) setting up a couple of project teams to tackle a few of the key areas. For example we might have a Aircraft Dynamics team to look at the things such as overheating engines etc, a visuals team to look at the view system, and maybe an environment team that would look after the world, including floating stuff etc.
If there is any interest I'll set up a Site and maybe a mailing list to start the discussion.
it doesn't necessarily have to be restricted to programmers, there's probably room for idea's people and testers etc etc. Coding stuff is often less than half the battle, the other half is getting the concept right and testing the thing.
Anyway, reply here or to my e-mail.
BTW Michael if you have any problem with kicking this off now let me know and I'll stop.
