Hey, just thinkun, wouldn't it bee cool to have some, UNSUSUAL planes? Like the He111 version that launched V-1's, or the version of the Betty that dropped Baka Bombs, and the Baka Pilot was like a gunner position, but when you dropped it you could fly it.
And a plea to you folks at Panzer and Roadtoads Flightshop, on the Ta-183, DONT SKREW IT UP PLEASE!!!!! I have been looking forward to that plane in this game, so, please dont just squish the Me262 nose, make a whole new one with an intake you can see. PLEASE!!!!!!!!!

Spanky here..

I'm sure Panzer and Roadtoad will do a great job with the Ta183.

I personally can't wait to see it. And is the Komet any closer guys?

sebulba - aside from the personal satisfaction of being able to call it one's own, it's far easier to start planes from scratch than piecing together parts from default planes.

Spanky - the komet is closer ... it just isn't 1st priority right now - but it's close.

If our output seems too slow, please appreciate that Panzer & I not only have real lives & responsibilities that have instant precedence, but that there are other constraints:
1. we are still learning the hard way what can or can't be done within the limits of what we have.
2. Mesh & texture is necessarily time-consuming - but not as much (or as complicated) as making it fly credibly without conflicts or crashes in an environment that is itself less than perfect. Panzer is the true hero of this team.
3. maintaining enthusiasm is sometimes difficult ... and there are volumes more to that story than just the uncredentialed people wanting you do it the way their word-of-god reference says it was without understanding they aren't just asking for a lot of free work, but basically insulting the people they are asking to do it.
... I think I understand now why writers and painters either isolate themselves or refuse to talk about work in progress. It is hard to express the story in your head while others tell you how they think the story should go.
