The Yak3 is in beta phase (?) and the I16 will be soon. My question - what comes next ?

My thoughts - 2 soviet fighters in the near (i hope so) future. I think we could turn them also to "gunship" versions and they can act as tank busters and carry small bombs and rockets (thats why I canceled the Il2). But they still need some bombers for escort missions !?

So I would build a bomber next (but it would be better to team up with someone who´s interested to decrease the release time).

I have a picture in a book of mine of 2 Russian "bombers". One is about the size of a Stuka, the other the size of a Mosquito.
The stuka look-a-like is called, boy this is a tounge twister, Ilyushin "Shturmovik",
the Mosquito look-a-like is called a Petlyakov PE-2. Have stats but not a flatbed scanner, I have a negative and small photo scanner. I'll try to get them somehow.

Pe-8/TB-7 was the 4-engined bomber (tho only used by the VVS in WWII). But there where only about 100 build.

I would prefer the DB-3M/DB-3F/Il-4 cause I got scale draws of this bomber.

I think at this point any Bomber they used in a decent amount of #s would be great.

It will be so cool to add another country to SDOE.

Well- I guess maybe we in the Nations project can give ourselves a small pat on the back for thinking ahead- if you go into the squadrons section of the game under Soviet Union (this is, of course, if you have the Nations zip on your computer)- you'll find a few fighter squads, a few fighter-bomber squads- for the Pe-2 and Il-2, and a heavy bomber squad.

I think we can pu the Pe-2 to the end of the build-list cause the mosquito can do that job.

Sebulba - "Schturmovik" or "Shturmovik" just means "tank attacker" or something in this way. It was also added to other planes then the Il-2/10 (i.e. I16-Shturmovik). But the Il-2 is often called "Shturmovik" only too.
