The scale (by default I believe) is in feet. I know I didn't change anything in mine and when I use the tape measure "helper" the measurements are in feet. Just make sure when you export your OBJ files that the vertex scale is 1.0

Thanks for the info man.

Any other basic Max tips you have to pass along? How do you use a background? with the viewport background or pasting your drawing on a poly?

I use Max 2.5 and I had to change the scale. It's under preferences.... change it so it says 1 Unit = 1 feet.

To get blueprints down, I usually just create a rectangular poly and then just texture map it with the blueprint. Use the "bitmap fit" button to make sure that your blueprint isn't getting stretched out.... it's near the bottom of the UVW map panel.

Can you tell me that in more detail JT?

Remember I'm BRAND NEW to max. Like REALLY new.

I've never textured anything.

Step by Step hehe

Do you have the manuals? It's kind of difficult to explain it to someone without using diagrams and pictures.
