As part of the ongoing OP fun stuff, I decieded to give SV's texturing tutorial a go by making a and texturing a torpedo like object (it looks like a torpedo, but as to the type??). The texturing was the easy part, and it worked just like he said. The hard part is getting SDOE to recognize the torpedo.Here is what I did. I just imported the textured .lod files into a rocket model, and renamed the rocket type to torpedo, all as part 1. No matter what bird I changed the loadout.ppf file to read torpedo's instead of rockets, SDOE never even listed them on the weapons inventory. I thought getting the flight path to go 1000m from a 175 foot drop was going to be hard

There is a weapons.sm file, but the pathfinder markers aren't in there, so I don't think that it is a requirement. I only spent about 45minutes toying with it, but I've gone back to creating templates to texture the Staaken with. So much for a simulated torpedo, for now...
