Spanky here.. K I have learned some of max and i'm wrapping my head around some of the differences bettween it and ac3d and am almost ready to try and start my p40. But i need your help. Which model should i do? You guys are like the consumers. Which version would add the most to the game? Obviosly its a choice between the one that flew the best (since even that one was outclassed in some respects) and the one that fits the present game right now. With the zero as its common advesary. Sorry bout the spelling. ANyway Give me your choices guys. I have tons of info but you guys know what you want. And we can do more versions after the first one is done. IP: Logged |

Spanky- I think you should do whichever model you want to do. After all, while we are the consumers, you are the one putting in the time :-) I think you'll find that building this plane is going to take some serious commitment. You've been reading the messages in the Tech forums, and see how people are struggling with their planes. My first attempt at building a complete plane (the Bleriot XI) is a simple model, but it has taken me a month, and I'm not done. The thing is, other stuff will undoubtedly come up... you'll get bored, or you'll realize you hate texturing, or something else will happen. So, you need to be certain that the plane you pick is the one you really want, as that will give you the best chance of finishing it.I guess my main point is that I don't really give a hoot which version you do, I mostly just want a p40 in the game! charm IP: Logged |

Hi Spanky!I'd do the Kittyhawk (I think it was the D model of the P-40, but I'm not sure). It was used by the RAF in Africa and by the US in the Pacific, and it performed better than the earlier Tomahawks. It had self-sealing Tanks and better armor. OTOH the Tomahawk was the model flown by the Flying Tigers (AVG), and this one, too, was used by the Brits. Peter IP: Logged |

Spanky here...charmstar Yeah it is pretty damn hard. The reason i don't just pick one is i want one that can be used in most theaters and one that people will actually use. Seems like the zero didn't get much play. I guess it will get alot more with more pac planes coming out. IP: Logged | |
