Sebulba-The info that Inferno gave you was useful. He was trying to tell you that you'll never get your picture to show here without uploading it to the Net first. If you'd like to e-mail me the image, I'll convert it to a jpeg for you and post it here on this thread so others can see it, OK? IP: Logged |

Hey Sebulba .... I don't want to lecture ya mate, but you may not get much of a reply with posts like the above ...end of sermen. Now for the possibly helpful stuff ... I haven't a direct answer for ya but from my observations a lot of questions that people ask do come up again from time to time .... so try using the search function at the top right corner of this page. You may just find your question has been asked and answered before. Best of luck. AGAS 5 IP: Logged |

Sebulba, Welcome to SDOE. We are kind of close around here and we are glad to welcome newcomers. The thing that makes this forum so great is that we all try to help each other. However Pete Hawk is one of the founders of this forum and has added a great deal to this game. If you come here with that kind of attitude you certainly won't get any help (At least not from me). The others were tring to help you too and you act like this. You will not last a long time around here. If you like SDOE and would like to add to it you will probably need the help of some of those that have tried to help you here. I suggest you rethink your next post and let us help you. If you want help let us know. If you want a war, then come on. We will take it to flames. Raider {GS} IP: Logged |

Sebulba, maybe you didn't notice the ":P" at the end of Pete's post. If you're not familiar with email and newsgroups then you might not yet realize that it's often difficult to tell if someone joking. Things like ":P" are called "emoticons" or "smilies." So, Pete's post was meant as a joke.Regarding your problem. As in all tech support, "It doesn't work," doesn't give us enough information. If someone wrote a post that said, "I just made a plane and it won't take off. What's wrong?" how would you answer them? You'd say, "Give me more info." So, for your retracting gear. What have you tried? What did you expect to happen? What does it look like actually did happen? Have you compared your work to some of the existing planes? Is it not moving at all, or just not moving like you want? Do you have any other moving parts that move correctly? Did you build this plane from scratch, or did you modify an existing plane? Oh, thanks, I am not a newbie, but I thought that :p ment that he was saying ha ha ha you suck, an antagonistic sybol. Anywho, sorry about the misunderstanding Pete. Anywho, in an answer to your post, I tried alot, First the front gear doesn't do anything, what I want it to do is first get it to retract, second I would like to get it to visualy move when rudder is put in, you know as in steering. But now I also have a new problem, I am working on the Ju88A4, and I has been bothering me that the bombs come out wrong. I read about a person who was starting on a He111, listen up, the bombs are supposed to come out tail first!!! This has been agrivating me for 2 weeks, so I took it in to my own hands and put six bomb pylons in the bombay and fixed it up and edited the Loadout.pff file to include the pylons and bombs, so I go and test it and 4 of the bombs wont seperate, It looks almost like the bombs are welded to gether with invisible welds. So I have a group of 4 bombs falling from the sky stuck in a cube! Does any one have any suggestions?IP: Logged |

It was all in good fun of course so sorry it caught you off guard. I'm typically a good hearted guy and try not to step on any toes. btw, I think that was the first time someone EVER slammed me online! For some good gear advice, you should try looking at some of the planes with that great OpenPlane Studio program Bryan Russell created. And if you are brave, take a look at my F-14's landing gear. I has some added things that most SDOE planes don't (like the folding strut support rods). I'd be happy to help you if I can, I love landing gear/DOF stuff! In fact in real life I'm in charge of inspecting all of our (Travis AFB) 37 C-5 Galaxy's landing gear on a weekly basis (one plane per week, every week). 28 tires on our big bad boy!
So if you need some advice feel free to email me. Even send the file in question if you want and what you are trying to have it do. pthawk@castles.com

Sebulba, I do consider us ok now. But please, lose the attitude. There are nothing but very friendly and helpful people here. Whatever chip you have on your shoulder over who knows what needs to leave. People usually only get worked up around here if someone new to the SDOE scene GETS them worked up. Your post directed at me did that to all of us. So if you ease up on your posts (as in losing the SKREW YOU! attitude). With this type of thinking how can you POSSIBLY expect people to be nice to you and help you out? It won't happen I can assure you.Just have a relaxed attitude and I think you'll find people respond to you in a much nicer manner. Remember that old saying... "You get back what you give out."
