I received that same error when I tried to import a LOD file into the plane I am working on. I ended up having to use hippie's extractor and do it the old way. I have noticed that this version of OPS has a few bugs in it, but overall it is a GREAT program.

only thing I can add to this one is that if it really is out of mem, then you should check what programs you're running in the background, 640kb gets used up pretty quick for progs using older internal programming, even Explorer takes up a large amount of memory. Agreed, you shouldn't be getting that error, but really, check what tasks you got running and try closing what you don't need

That doesn't necessarily mean your PC's run out of memory, only that the memory alloc's failed for some reason. For example I've seen cases were a corrupt file cause's this because something like 20 Gig's try's to get allocated. I have 64Meg RAM and I don't really see this legitimately unless I have Several memory hogs running at the same time. Maybe I'll move some memory alloc debug into the next release so I can get a feel for what's happening.
