You GOTTA check out the new doc up at openplane! I found the answer to our model conflict bug that was steeling one planes's model and using it on another. Read this:

The closet is defined using a group bead with the property (obDynamic) on it. Then any parts that are children of this bead will be placed in the closet. Shadows and spinning props are the main parts put into the closet. Also, each part in the closet must have an entirely unique name to avoid getting overridden by another part from another plane with the same name.

So its not an OpenPlane bug, but just part of OpenPlane. Be careful with your model names on parts at this level!

Thanks for the Heads up SV, but you discovered this and told us that weeks ago.

Yea, but I shifted the blame to OpenPlane, now I know it was my bad hacking

Wow, that document is quite the improvement over the main openplane doc, at least as far as readability and clarity are concerned. I'm no stranger to tech docs (heck I'm a network administrator - most of my life IS tech docs) but there is something to be said for the artists view of how it all works! My grasp of OpenPlane (which was pretty weak I'll admit) has just gotten much stronger... I may actually try my hand at some basics this weekend!
