It seems the F-14 has suffered a setback tonight. I was in the process of doing the major cockpit parts (seats, Rio's panel, etc). I made an SM file fine and it works in the game but the textures weren't showing up right. I went to Extract it with all versions I have of Hippies Extractor and everyone of them said the SM had an error. It's nice to know I can fly it but the project will come to an upbrupt halt if I can't make more progress. Here's what I "think" the problem is. I assigned a couple different Tifs for the chairs and the instrument panel. These are referenced by the Me262cockpit file and so I thought for sure it'd work. Well in the material window of Max, I had the chair file on the first window (you know, all those circles you can choose your mappings from?), and the next circle had the panel. Well after all this and importing into the SM in OPS and then trying it in the game, the panel showed up fine (material index of 1) but the seat didn't. It had something like a wall tif on it. So I go to extract it to check out what texture indexes are pointing too and so forth, and whammo, nothing now. So now I'm stuck. Help! IP: Logged |

Are you by any chance using the newest version of OPS (1.2)? I was unable to get extractor to work on the Corsair .sm file after I modified it using OPS 1.2. Luckily I had saved an earlier version of both the .sm file and OPS 1.0.Could've just been something stupid I did, but OPS 1.2 is on the shelf for me until I finish the Corsair or have some time to experiment further. OPS is great, but Builder/Extractor is critical.
