About Project Japan-

With Lector's files, were you able to get the Hanger working properly- I am not sure if I put the three files in the right place:

StrTable= Media
gui.ppf= Media/Gui
score.ppf= ?

I put these into my Media and got Japan as a separate Squadrons link in the game- and the squadron pics/insignia show up. They also work in the mission editor (i.e.- I change the Zero in a mission to one of the new squadrons- and it shows up Japan). But when I look in the hanger for a test flight of the Zero- I open up Japan and there's nothing there. I know I put the Zero in the Japan folder in the hanger- so I can't figure out why it doesn't work. The Zero still is in the German section in the game- but I can't access it there. I really want to do this thing, but more importantly, I really want to do it right...so what am I missing? Did you have any of these problems? Thanks for your help so far- I appreciate it!

You need to put the score.ppf file in the media\GUI folder too, next to the gui.ppf.

Did you change the ppf file of the zero so it'll say it is a japanese plane?

Is it a bird? Is it a plane? No, it's a Flying Poodle !

My Japan is working perfect now. I just tried to make a Fokker Japanese and it worked perfect. Just change a planes ppf file and put all the cutaway and stats in the Media\GUI\Art\Hanger\*plane name* .

The only thing I now need is:

-Japanese ranks
-Japanese medailles

Please help me out with this one.

BTW, my http://www.flyingpoodle.cx site is a bit out of order, so you can still see my old site at http://home.wxs.nl/~poodle/FlyingPoodle.htm

Poodle:

The Japanese rankings are in the Projects section (I guess this section) under one of the other posts about the Soviet/Japan Nations Projects. I believe it was Whirlwind that posted it- if you can't find it- when I get home from work I can e-mail it to you. For medals- I gave Zoy a site address that had all types of medals. Hopefully, he'll read this and send it along, because again I don't have it with me. I'll search for the post and let ypou know

I forgot to change the planes- that makes sense- I thought it was just a matter of putting the plane in the appropriate file...duh!

OK for medals: go to the bottom of this page and click on the Japanese:

http://www.nmia.com/~valorc/american/patchs/leather.htmml

For the ranks- go to the post in Projects that is titled: "How to add a new country to FSDOE" and it's on the bottom there too. Hope this helps- if you can help me get this right, I can maybe add a Russian and Italian Nation as well.

Thanks Jeeves,
My Japan is now working great, with 3 medals and all the ranks, but there is something you shouldn't forget. We have to think about the germans, french and italians too.
So, we also should add Japan to the german, french and italian parts of the StringTable. So here how you say Japan in:

German: - Japan
French: - Japon
Italian: - Giappone

Just add it to the string table, which is slightly different for countries in the foreign languages.
