Would it possible for one of you 3D modeling guru's to take the exhaust pipes off of Dole's A36A and add them to the P51 mustang? It shouldn't be too hard should it.

JT is going to teach me remapping and I would like to be able to have the exhaust pipes on the mustang instead of having to paint them on.

If someone can help, or has already did this, please send me an email at: danwaldrep@earthlink.net

I know the contest thing is keeping people occupied, but if you could spare a little time to 'hook a brother up' I would appreciate it.

Thanks
dan

Dan, i could do it in about 2 mins. but i'm not sure if the parts will cause the plane to
CTD the game. I was working on my Spit XIV and the new parts i added to it CTD the plane. But if you want i could throw it on there and ship off the LOD to you. well as soon as i get my home puter working.

Yeah, could you do that?

How about renaming it to P51X...that way it would be seperate from the default mustang.

I would need an .sm file, if its not too hard, since I have no clue what to do with the lods.

Thanks

Hmmm, what's a "CTD?" I did some modifications to the A-36 (added nose gun barrels, reshaped rear fuselage and radiator scoop) and built a Mustang 3 (with Malcolm canopy) out of the P-51B without any apparent problems (but I never tried either of them online).

To add the Apache exhaust to the 51D body would be a snap. Every time I look at the Mustang I say "Oops, forgot to add those exhaust pipes again," but I'm not gonna do it if it's gonna screw something up (kept the original copies of the A-36A and P-51B too)

BTW Razer, any problem with me posting my "modified" versions of your Stangs? Basically your planes but a few significant cosmetic mods. Will just post the paint jobs (Polish RAF Mustang and green USAAF Apache) if it's gonna cause any heartburn...

Jedi, hmm you know when i had some free time i was going to do the same thing to the B wit h the cockpit. but never had a chance. send it to files@fshangar.com and i'll post it on the site. make sure you have a readme in it and give everyone credit. Remember, it was dole's A-36a that made the B possible.

CTD = Crash to Desktop. It was a term coined by the Falcon4 beta test team since we had CTD's a lot

Sure Dan, i can make is in an SM file if you want. If i can get my home puter back up and running tonight i should be able to send it over tonight, if not this weekend.

Hehe OK Dole's A-36, your P-51B, got it.

Crash-To-Desktop...duh! Anyway the Stangs I modified...er...don't, and on one of em I merged the old fuselage to the new one, so I bet the exhaust pipe mod would work.
