I was doing some thinking about Project Soviet Nation, and really there is nothing stopping us from starting Projects Japanese Nation and Italian Nation now. I mean, the project is on hold until Tailslide's contact delivers the wavs, so for these two new projects this is what is required:1) Someone who can speak both english and Japanese or Italian. This person can be somebody like YOU reading this post, or someone you know. 2) This person (be it you or someone you know) must have ready access to the equipment necessary to record the sound bites. (either on cassette or in wav format) IF YOU MEET THESE TWO CRITERIA please email me and I will send you further instructions and necessary information to be able to create the necessary wav files. Thanks in advance! Werner P.S. Please note that I am including Proj Italian Nation because we can already use 109s as Italian aircraft, and also as a motivator for all those who, deep down, want to build Wern- I mean the community a Macchi or other Italian aircraft. ------------------ Do you support SDOE online? Isnīt it a bit fast to start with 2 new nations (lot of work I think - new planes, vehicles, maps, wavs ...)? Hmmm - one thing is right we should involve more people to the work with SDOE/OP stuff...

Werner, Even is they could just record it on a cassette tape using a tape recorder. I am sure that someone could convert it to wav files from that.If you can get the tape I can try and convert it to wav files for you. Has anyone typed up the script yet? I can use irfanview to do this very easily if you need me to. IP: Logged |

Laika - This project will allow users to create missions selecting nations other than US, UK, Germany so that when they fly (over dover, rhineland, tundra, n.africa...) they will hear Russian/Japanese/Italian instead of english or german.Raider, I didn't know that would do it. I've edited my above post to reflect this new info. Also, I have already put together a list of the calls or 'script', if you will. If you want a copy, please email me. Gterl... I'm away from my mail right now, I'll check it again tonight. Werner ------------------ Do you support SDOE online? Email Werner to be listed in SDOE's online phonebook today! Laika - Tailslide would be the best one to update you on this, but my understanding is that he has emailed the 'script' to a Russian-speaking friend of his, and has posted it at some russian newsgroups. We're just waiting now.Siggi - It's not a lot of work at all (compared to something like an op project). It involves recording 63 short wav files and then emailing them to me. If you're still interested, drop me a line. If you could help, though, it would be great since the new pacific 'contest' planes should generate a lot of interest in that theatre. Thanks for the offers of assistance, you guys. The end product should be well worth it. Werner ------------------ Do you support SDOE online?
