I'm redoing my Saratoga texture (remapping model, using new smoothing techniques) and have a basic one going now (much much better than my aweful old one), BUT the darn thing won't let me land on it. You fall right through when trying.

Could someone (maybe Dole?) refresh my memory on how to get the flight deck, say concrete material working? Thanks.

You might want to check the material as a guess. I never had this problem while texturing the 2 per-alpha textures I was working on.

Actually there are those material files that go with Obj files, and Hippie had the answer a while back, about what to put in them that would harden the deck for landing. Then Dole learned how to do it and showed me. But heck I don't remember, it was long ago.

from memory the falling through the deck problem was to do with polygon normals and
the axis plag in the polygons flags.

Check you normals are pointing the way you
expect. Also check that whatever loader/convertor software you are using on your meshes is setting the polygon axis flag correctly.

Hmmm this could have something to do with problems people are having with arrestor hooks and wires too....

Hippie.
