My F-15's gear are attached to the wings and the brakes work fine. My F-14's gear are attached to the fuselage (otherwise they'd move with the swing-wings) and don't work at all. Could this be why, maybe a bug in OpenPlane?Any ideas? [This message has been edited by Pete Hawk (edited 01-17-2000).] IP: Logged |

It's fixed! Here's what I did. In OPS I opened the F-14 file and clicked on the lower left tab that says names. I went down to where it says things like LeftGearStrut1 Leftwheel1 RightgearStrut2, Rightwheel2, and just deleted the numbers on the ends! It was that easy! Man I'm glad it works now

Whenever you copy and paste a part in OPS it adds numbers to the end so the new part's name does not conflict with the old one. You can change the name, but beware of having two parts with the same model name! Also, many models are refered to by name, so if you create a new part or rename an old part you MUST update these references. Example: You have ULWing and you copy and past it to create ULWing1. You then rename this to be LLWing. Now you must go to the main plane model and find the LeftWing prop list and add the new wing like: LeftWing 'ULWing 'LLwingThis also effects things such as tails, gears, breaks, tires, props, etc. It is easy, but if you forget one you might not notice right away, but things won't work right and FM may be wrong. ------------------ -Sv =FC= WWI in SDOE!
