I'm in the process of making a Seafang F Mk 32.

This model Seafang had the counter-rotating dual props, Question is how do I get the 2nd prop to rotate the other direction?????

I've got the model made and the prop is on but I don't know how to reverse the direction of the other prop.

I know It can be done because all the multi-engine aircraft in the game have their props rotating in opposite directions, I looked at the property lists, but unless I am missing something, I dont see any difference in them.

Any input would be apprieciated, Thank you.

BTW,....... SV, Bryan,...... I got the cannons and all working for the Apache and the Spit Vc, thanks a bunch for your help.

engBackward and propBackwards can be added to the propeller and engine properties to reverse the direction of the propeller. (If you don't change both you'll get the thrust going the wrong way.) The problem you have, though, is that you've only got one engine. I would suggest having two engines (in the same spot) each with half the horsepower of the real single engine. You could then tinker with the horsepower settings if necessary.

Also another idea might be:

A single DOF controls the prop motion, right? Just reverse this DOF for one of the props - all should work (visualy) correctly.

Not being an original thinker here, I'd just "steal" the two propellers from the P-38 and mount them one behind the other. They rotate opposite to each other, right? Remove the spinner from the aft prop object (or just leave it until you get around to modifying it).

Start with the same properties as the P-38 props just to get em working, then change the specifics to match the Seafang.

Thanks for all the suggestions guys, got it working though. Just gotta tone down the H.P. alittle.

Yardstick,
The Seafang along with the Spiteful were also built by Supermarine and were meant to replace the Spitfire and the Seafire in service.
But the war ended too soon and they were not produced in great numbers. They used the newest Rolls-Royce Griffon Engines With Counter-rotating props, their top speeds were around 500 MPH +/-.

Only 17 Spitefuls were made and only 18 Seafangs were made.
