Basically the Gun Convergence thing works like this:1. There are one or more Models in every aircraft (one for each gun position) that have a gunlist defined.
2. If you select this model, the set convergence command/button will be enabled
3. When you enter a range, and select some guns, from the gun list displayed in the set convergence dialog, once you press “apply” the “aiming” point for the guns will change to a point at a red cube out in front of the gun position. Note the apply only effects the guns that are highlighted when the apply button is pressed. This red cube is positioned in line with the orientation of the model that is currently the view position (by default the model with the gunlist) and at the distance specified.
4. If the model owning the gunlist isn’t the place where your pilot or gunner is looking from you can use the set viewpoint option to choose the model to use as the viewing point.
5. To check that the viewpoint is correct you can use the “View from gunner's perspective” button which will move the camera to where the pilot/gunner would be. If the view doesn’t look right chances are the viewpoint isn’t set properly. To get out of this view just use one of the move camera command sand it will snap back.
6. If the guns don’t quite fire into the middle of the gunsight, you can use the set of arrow in the set convergence dialog to “nudge” the view until it is right. If you can see the red cube then use this as a guide.

Anyway all I want to do is get the cannons to fire through where the gunsight is instead of below the plane of the nose.(Kinda makes it hard to kill anything when you can't see where the bullets are hitting)
What’s probably happening is that the selected viewpoint is not the one that is used in the game, and therefore if you change the viewpoint to the right one and re-converge your guns then it should work out.
I hope that helps, if you have any other questions let me know.
