I was just hoping to make a list of possible aircraft to make. I can't make 'em myself cos I don't have openplane and I probably wouldn't be able to anyway.I think it would be cool to have more common aircraft that everyone knows, like the Hurricane, Thunderbolt, Hellcat, Corsair and stuff.
I was just wondering about it so don't kill me.

Since we're all going to get a vote in this contest.... You can buy me with a He111 or a Stuka.

Razer is working on a Mitchell- so is a Maurader really that much farther from it (well- except for the tricycle gear of the Mitchell...and that whole Flying Prostitute thing...)

jaguar "That 3 engined german transport"
is a Junkers JU 52

Probably the best would be a JU 52/3m

The Ju 52/3m g3e transport had a crew of 2-3 depending on the mission. It was powered by three 540kW BMW 132A-3 engines to a maximum speed of 165 mph (275km/h). It had a ceiling of 17,000 ft (5900m) and a range of 770 mi (1285km). It came armed with three 7.9mm machine guns.

cheers gt

Hey how about the Bristol Beaufighter?
Can't remember any sim that had it, and it did play a major roll both as nightfighter and as fighterbomber.
When were at it, why not the Bf110 as well?
I was thinking about taking on openplane as well, but it proved to much for me right now, maybe later... Thanks to Sv for the good tutorial though! It got me a lot further than before!

Cheers! / Cpt Farrel

Jaguar acutally the F4F was the Wildcat (predacessor to the F6F Hellcat) and the F4U was the Corsair.

Im trying to build a F4F for the contest. A cool looking plane that was pretty well outmatched by the Zero

Jeeves, don't confuse the A-26 (Intruder)with the Marauder (B-26). The A-26 was redesignated the B-26 after the Marauder was retired from service (after WWII). By the way, both had tricycle gear.

Great ideas with the Beaufighter and Bf110, Farrel!

How about a steaming locomotive to go along with the tactical aircraft? There's nothing like a little strafing to help eliminate daily stress.

What about this big seaplane-with-wheels named (afaik) "Catalina"? Itīs the plane who spotted the "Bismarck" on her last yourney and was used by the french diver and filmmaker Cousteau on some of his expeditions. By the way: Is it possible under OpenPLane, a _real_ seaplane (landing on water *without* exploding)?

Greetings,

Vau (just new on the scene)

I would love to see the Stuka in this game- AND the He-111-- considering the other gunner position in the Stuka though, if you're working on your own, maybe the bigger bomber would be better? I have no idea about such things

Heya,

Falck,
There goes another nickel

Wasnt the Bismark spotted by a PhotoRecon SpitFire in port?

How about a Wimp or a Halifax.

Those troop gliders.. no specific makes pop into my head at the moment.

Bonus points for making it so another plane can tow it : )
