Ok, im finally going to try building in openplane from scratch. One question...

Ill be using AutoCad for my 3D work and importing it through OPS via 3ds ---> obj

How do i know what size to create something in autocad for it to show up at the appropriate size in OPS. If I make a propeller with a 3 foot radius in Autocad, will it show up as being 3 feet in radius in openplane?

I only use AC3D, but here is how I figured scale:

Just export a plane's wing that you know the wing span of - import it into AutoCad and see how big it is.

...might work, if you can go that direction

SDOE uses 1 foot per unit, so if you set up AutoCAD for this it should be fine.
