Ok, I'm gonna release my new SE5a soon along with a basic WWI planepack. I have 2 questions:

1. What datax.par file number should I use for this and all future WWI planepacks? Should I put all the WWI planes in 1 par file? Right now it's just the Fokker DR1 and my SE5a.

2. My SE5a has a new airfoil file called SE5a0.sm - in order for it to work I had to add it to the startup.ppf file (in media folder) that contains just a single list of all the airfoil files used in SDOE. My file will overwrite anyone elses new custom airfoils (are there any?). How should we manage this file? If other people have airfoils of their own, my file needs to contain these as well. Any ideas or work-arounds for this one?

Thanks all,

why not send me the plane and let me place it in the planepack. We use 12,13,14,15 as our data files. so don't use those. theres a limit to the number you can use but right now i can't think what that number was.

or you can just tell me the line to add to the startup file and let me add it.

Razer,

Yes, I will send you the airfoil to add to the startup.ppf file.

As far as the actual plane, I will want to keep all of the WWI planes in a seperate pack - that will help you keep the download time of the planepack down for those who don't care for WWI. Also this way us WWI guys can roll new versions of the plane pack when we need to. I do think we will work with OPPs to sync the rolls with the WWII lanepacks so as to simplify things for the users.

What do you think?
