I'm editing my new planes shadow and it's very easy with AC3D. However, at certain positions I'd like to add a vertex here and there but can't seem to be able to.

Also, If I want to add to my model's shadow, I know how to draw a polygon but how do I make it black like the rest of the shadow, and will SDOE recognize it as an alpha texture?

Thanks

There's an option under vertex mode ->vertex-> add vertices
Make sure you have the vertices that you want to make a new one BETWEEN marked. It also doubles the vertice count in the vertices marked, so be prepared to snap them together and merge object ->optimize vertices so as to not have excessive verts and surfaces. As for the second question I have no idea.

Pete,

From what I have seen (only Fokker), the shadow LOD is just a rectangle. The texture mapped to that rectangle is a TIF with an alpha channel that contains the shape of the shadow. This LOD is textured just like the windshield of my SE5a, you can see how I did that at my site.

Other planes do it differently - those inta files - alpha only - are a bit more efficiant. There may be other tricks as well, I just know this one basic one...
