What's the best way to edit a planes shadow (to coincide with a new one)? In AC3D I know we can edit the points of the shadow, but for the actual image file, what's best and how do you go about doing it? Thanks

i use photoshop 5.5 and open the image and look at the alpha channel. then you'll see what the shadow will look like.

So how does one open an .inta file? I've tried just renaming the extension to something pshop will open, but with no luck.
I can see how to just make one as a tiff file, but even if you just work with the alpha layer, pshop automatically puts the RGB channels back in when you save as a tiff

I think that if you set the texture flags right in the SM file, SDOE will use only the alpha channel. A bit of a waste of 3/4 of the file but it should work.

thanks Bryan - looks like that's what I'll have to do - i should be able to get away with a low-color custom palette.
