I was browsing through a couple of books today at the bookstore, (Of which I am getting for christmas) and I ran across the specs of the A36-A. It noted that the armament on the aircraft was 4 - 20mm cannons.
We have Machine Guns on our A36-A, shouldn't we change this on our aircraft???

After all we are trying to be as historically accurate as possible.

Well, just a thought.

Because one book says dot dot dot, doesn't mean another way isn't also historically correct.

Dole,
Sorry man I wasn't knocking the A36A we currently have, I just happened to run across it in a book and tha twas the armament that it listed.

I was just posting this because everyone is always talking about making "Historically Correct" aircraft.

If the A36A was armed with MG's in another variant, Great! Then we can have 2 Variants of it.

It's just that until I get a 3D modelling program I am limited in what I can contribute to this sim, and I figured that finding other variants of the existing aircraft that may have other armament configurations are within my reach to work on right now.

Didn't mean to cause any tension.

tension? Why there's no tension here (unless you bow beneath a darn flag with a leaf on it... then wooooah boy.) I'm just pointing out that that way isn't THE historically accurate way - "Shouldn't we change our aircraft..." (as a matter of fact I found that armament to look kinda silly... never cared for it from a pure looks pov.)

well I think the A32A should be different from the P-51B.The A36 was a dive bomber and I think the 4x20mm would be better for a ground attack aircraft than 4x50cal?

Dole's right - it was the Mustang 1A and P-51 (no variant letter) that had the 4 20mm cannons. The A-36A had the 6 .50s and could also carry a pair of 500lb bombs.
