Couldn't we make a converter program to extract models used by freeware authors for Combat Flight Simulator (with their agreement of course). Regarding what have been done, we may save time on model creation. My 2 cents ------------------ STef_EAF329 http://stephan.bondier.free.fr/gazette.html ICQ 52072208 IP: Logged |

no, we can chose the best models and ond only use premium ones.check out there: http://www.combatfs.com/warbirds/cfs.shtml specially american B24 and B25, they are worth SDOE. I already contacted the author, waiting for a reply. STef ------------------ STef_EAF329 http://stephan.bondier.free.fr/gazette.html ICQ 52072208 IP: Logged |

This topic came up a few months ago. I think I remember people saying that there were many technical problems involved with bringing FS98/CFS models into SDOE.IP: Logged |

Spanky here Are you guys talking the plane or just the base 3d model? Even just the base 3d model could be cool for a start

I'm talking about the base 3D model. I requested from the best B24 and B25 his base models. No reply yet. I will try to convert the model I downloaded anyway. Who tested it previously, and what kind of problem do they encoutered?------------------ STef_EAF329 http://stephan.bondier.free.fr/gazette.html ICQ 52072208 IP: Logged |

I've been in touch with the programmer of the shareware program Quick3D. He is interested in adding it to the possibilities of it's tool, which is a 3D converter. http://www.quick3d.org/ So, he is currently checking what he can do. ------------------ STef_EAF329 http://stephan.bondier.free.fr/gazette.html ICQ 52072208 IP: Logged |

Hey, do any of you guys have Flanker 2.0? It's aircraft use *.cmd models and wow are they nice. All of their flight controls and gear are animated as well. If someone finds a way to convert them to a regular model (obj format) I'd go nuts "openplaning" them all. Then we could have SDOI (Screamin' Demons Over Iraq) [This message has been edited by Pete Hawk (edited 12-18-1999).] IP: Logged |

My contact, programmer of Quick3D, told he thinks it will be in next release of his shareware, in January. Version 2.5. At the moment the program costs around US$25. I'm trying to have a rebate if we are many to order it.I will post format supported, as well as future ones later.------------------ P/O STef, EAF STef_EAF329 stephan.bondier.free.fr/gazette.html ICQ 52072208 IP: Logged |
