Mad Dog here....
Spanky and I were sitting around the other day talking about Openplane and all around 3D modeling, and we had a CRAZY idea.....picture this: Driving along in SDOE in a tractor trailer when all of a sudden....ZACH-ZURCH-ZICH-ZURCH-ZICH-SCHOC...you're not a transport anymore....you're OPTIMUS PRIME!!! (Sorry, I have no idea how to type the Transformer sound  )
You might dismiss the idea right off as too out ther, but it sure woud show the flexibility of this sim and it's tools. Not to mention that it would be frikin' cool!! What? No Tranformer fans here? guess I'll go play by myself then.... ------------------

Mad Dog here..... That ship looks very familiar to me now that I've looked at it a few times, but the name Starblazers does not. I like to think of myself as knowledgable in the field of "back in the day" tv, but I'm not sure I know this one. Were there vehicles that came out of the ship that were based on plants? And did the main bad guy have a huge veiny plant head? If not, does anyone remember the show I'm talking about cause I just barely remember it. BTW, I was serious about the Transformer, it would really rock!! Alot of work though. ------------------

Spanky here Well fenris I am starting my 3d model all over to make a better one and with the new ram i just got and the new LOD plugin of OPS and the contest i have renewed intrest. Plus its a damn cool plane and no ww2 sim should be with out it. about the skins hell yes i suck with skins and will need all kinds of help. Can you help with the cockpit too? BTW I haven't posted that was Mad Dog as you can see by the Mad Dog here at the beggining of each post. I'm glad someone is waiting for it. ------------------

I'll gladly do you some painting, but I'm afraid I'm totally clueless as to all things Openplane, and indeed the actual mapping process. If you can define the areas requiring painting and/or textures within the cockpit I will certainly try to source accurate photographic material, for them.

Who was it who suggested one of the Transformers that becomes an aircraft?
I think that for now that would be best, but Prime would kick @$$ too.
That's a lot of moving stuff and DOFs though.
