Well here's some information on the Huey.
first a few pics. Sorry these had to be links, but xoom sucks....... I mean, they don't alow pic links (if they don't work, just cut and paste the url in to the url bar)

http://members.xoom.com/_XMCM/Huey99/FS_Huey16.jpg

http://members.xoom.com/_XMCM/Huey99/FS_Huey.jpg

http://members.xoom.com/_XMCM/Huey99/FS_Huey13.jpg

http://members.xoom.com/_XMCM/Huey99/projectX_5.jpg

But if none of these strike your fancy, you can choose from those posted on the Huey Website:
http://members.xoom.com/_XMCM/Huey99/

Now for some information.

Those who contributed to the Huey sofar are: Myself "Michael Babott", Razer747 "James Smith", Mystical "Matt Bruemmer", and Mposis "Marcus Posis". Razor, Mystical and myself started the project around October 1st. I was mainly working on the 3D model. Razer was working mainly on the FM, and Mystical did the research and some 3D modeling. Nearing the end of the alpha production stage Mposis joined and created the cockpit for us.

The Huey is really a huge break through for Openplane. As the name implies, Openplane was only designed to handle airplanes. But because the enviroment was modeled so accurately, Provision for a helicopter was inadvertantly included. Although the enviroment wasn't 100% accurate (more like 99%), and FS wasn't able to handle some types of Helicopter systems, it actually balanced out, and ended up in the ability for us to do this project. This project COULD NOT be duplicated in any other Flight Simulator that doesn't have provision for Helicopters.

We Modeled this chopper from lots of pictures (internet and photos), plastic models, Helicopter maintenance books\manuals, and many other sources. If we didn't have all this information, we could not have made this Helicopter. The Huey flys just like a real Huey does. It incorporates rotor flapping, transitional lift, torque cancelation (namely a functioning tail rotor), proper engine to rotor gear ratios......etc, that permits a real helicopter to operate..... Look at it this way: If you took this huey right out of Fighter Squadron and placed it onto a real world helicopter pad, it would be able to operate just like the real thing. When you boil it down. We made a Real Bell UH-1A Huey.

The Huey is currently in Alpha form. We should have the Beta out soon. But even though it's in Alpha, it still flys great!

So cut and paste what you want from above. And if you like, you could even post the link to the Huey page, and any pictures off of it.

Cheers!

Sp@nky,having flown sims(not very well)since F117(Microprose)one thing you could mention or post links to is the skins that are available because this community and this sim have produced the best skins I have ever seen.I know your doing Openplane on the Combatfs forum but this could tie in with the overall concept of FSSDOE.

Don't have any photo's but I'm working on making the Ju88's engines susceptible to fire damage, hopefully in time for 5.3 release. The engines will catch fire and burn like they usually do, but you'd better get them shut down in a hurry and put the fire out, or they'll explode. This part of the Ju88 FM/DM is about 90% finished.

Sopwith Camel

This is a work in progress and obviously unfinished. Since these screens shots were taken I've added the engine and am about to start on the wires.

k guys i'm not doing the post for a couple days maybe right before or right after pp5.3 comes out

so you still have time to get some better SShots in
maybe you ww1 guys can get together and get a couple screens of some action and one with all of them on the tarmac or inside tailslides open hanger
you should put a sign on the front like its and old airplane factory or airodrome

do you guys know any other places to post it ?
is there a rb2 or a ww1 flight sim forum?
any other flight sims forums at all?

i want to put out a mass of stuff so people will just be floored at whats happening with this sim

maybe in a week or so the guys with the carriers will have a hook on some planes and some good landing shots

What about ask the guys to name the newest screenshots of the planes always with the same name: this way the link will point always to a new pic and we donīt need to change anything.
Beautiful work !

Roadtoad,
I have to model the cockpit and FM. Itīs a hard work.
