SV, I just downloaded the SE5 and it's mission. WOW, Red Barron look out! I have played Red Barron 3d and it never felt like this. In RB the planes look good but don't have that smooth, graceful flying characteristic.

SV your SE5 does so I think we could top RB and really have a cool WWI sim. I just sat and watched the AI ballet around the sky in a very realistic looking WWI dogfight and then to join in was pure joy!

Ok, why not the fokker as the foe in your mission? Can we have more of these planes and super paint jobs as the real flying circus had? Paint jobs with cool camo and of course those great horrible colored patterns also?

You guys gotta try this mission!

This is great to hear!

I did not put the Fokker in the mission because some people don't have it. We flew about three hours last night on-line Fokker vs. Se5a. What a great time!

The new version og my SE5a will be up later tonight - with real textures this time! All that is left is the damaged version, wheel struts, wing wires, cockpit trim, collision points, and FM tweeking. Not far to go!

There will be WWI for OpenPlane - there are others with planes that look better than my SE5a now! Look for a basic WWI plane pack arund the begining of the new year - it will be mostly beta planes, but we can use it to test the kinks out of the FMs.

I can't wait to start creating the flying circus! Talk about fun making skins!

If we get allot of WW1 interest, who knows? Maybe we can get MH to add some key WWI features to the OpenPlane engine in the future like magneto throttle control for rotary engines.

SV,

Can you post a link where we can download the plane and the missions? I saw a pic of the plane and it looked really cool. Would love to paint some skins for it too!

Agreed,

It has been great to watch your progress SV.

And from my stand point, WWI A/C are a painters dream. I love the color and the heraldy (sp) found on these planes.

Keep up the great work,
