How bout a reunion guys? I know your still out there...lurking in the shadows... like I was... you know who you are (well, some of you do anyways )...

I know we've all put on a couple pounds since we rotated out of the theatre but I'll bet if you hold your breath you can squeeze into that old uniform... and you gotta admit... the ~GS looked damn good at parade.

C'mon, fire that old internet connection up and let's show these young-uns (in SDOE terms anyhow) how one of the first SDOE squads used to do it....

Besides... I hear there's still some chickens flying around that need a good roastin...

No worries Stark, JG3 has the rotisserie covered.

It would be cool to see you guys together again, you were an awesome squad.

Hey hey now now! Be careful-- there are more of us then there were when you guys were around previously Nothing like a little fire under the tailfeathers to get a chicken to fly

Yeah... everyone suddenly got busy, including myself.

(dusting off the uniform)

Just let me know when you want some company, Stark. I'll try to be there. Would be nice to fly using RW again too.

Spyd and Zoy have jumped ship long ago, but we should see if we can at least resurrect Pang and Falk. I know they're out there..

Drop me a note, I should be around this weekend.

Gus, glad you can still fit in that old thing...

Yeah, I know we won't see Spyder around... but I'm fairly sure Zoy still lurks the board every once in awhile... so hopefully he'd be up for some flying if nothing else.

Falck, Pang... how bout it guys?

How's tonight (Fri. the 2nd) for a quick run or 2. 19:00 PST OK?

Awww now this just brings a tear to a CO in retirement. You say when, and I will certainly be there! I have been involved in a very exciting project that has been using a bit of my time, as well as the WWI flight modelling, and of course the dreaded "real life". I could really go for some old fashioned flying.

By the way, since we merged with the 33rd, we have a mailing list of our own. I'd be happy to have anyone added who's interested.

Actually, I'm already on that list Pang... cracks me up half the time...

Any chance of drawing some of those guys in for a little SDOE fun you think? One of these years I'm going to have to make it to a WAA - sounds like a blast!

I will be up tonight in Cali12, wearing the colors, at about 19:15 PST. Make it if you can guys!

I'm embarrased to ask, but what is the online standard these days? Of all the nights to choose, tonight I'm having dinner with my sister, but I'll download all the stuffs and be ready.

Howdy Pang!

Standard is currently (unless it's changed within a week) pp6.0, nations, and the optional, but well worth it, WWI Pack.

BTW, Please add me to the mailing list. I'd like to get in touch with my roots again...

Hope to see you soon,

Gustang GS~33rd

Heya,
Stark, Gus, Pang, Falck, Spyder...ect..ect

Yes, now and again I have a peek to see whats been going on but I havnt flown in months....and the last time I did,no one I knew was around and had major version conflicts, so I bagged it. Waiting for something new. IL2 looks to be good, maybe StormBird, but mostly quietly waiting for IL2.

I do miss the ~GS days, what great times It might be fun to play again.

After my great leave from SDOE I have been busy and have taken up other pursuits and things couldnt be better. Taking more time in with family and what not =)

This does not mean that "on line" life is over, just not as big of a part of my real life

Also I miss the other guys too, John, Jeeves and Werner, even the guys who shot me up most of the time I did have a great time.

We will meet again....some sunny day.....

Or if not a sunny day then a frozen, windswept day over the ruins of Stalingrad in a couple of IL-2's, no?

I hear ya snick.. I've taken a lengthy break, for several reasons, including substantial 'real life' complications. I might be back on in about two months or so.
