I'm tossing on the works in progress, I hope. I am only allotted 6 MB of space, and am uploading something borderline to it. As I type this, the Staaken and Beufighter are present for duty, with test missions. The SM79 might be a tight fit, as I need to clean useless files out of the directories yet.All planes are a work in progress and using them may cause your computer to act in unsavory ways that I am not responsible for. The planes are guaranteed to occupy hard drive space once installed. If a link doesn't work, I probably didn't have room to put it on. 2 problems with that bird i like: (1) it's beAufighter, and (2) it CTDs. Any idea why? I'd really like to see this bird in SDOE, dunno how I can help (still learning texturing in AC3D).

OK, had a quick "run out" in the Beaufighter ) here's some things that you've probably noticed already, but jic:1 the ailerons are squewwif and through the wing edges 2 The rudder works, but doesn't appear to move 3 No tail wheel 4 guns missing, the 3 there are set incorrectly (should carry 4 20mm cannon and six .303/7mm machine guns) 5 Seems to always try to climb, very difficult to keep the nose down, or to pull it back down from the climb 6 handels like a pig.. LOL, but I dunno, that could be typical of the fighter 7 The brakes didn't seem to work, after puttin on full left/right rudder and then centering, the plane starts a spin (whilst stationary on the runway) and the brakes have no effect to stop it. OK, it's a beta and those are the things I found with it right now, I know there's lots more work to go into it yet, but not a bad idea to get it out for tests... Hope these bits help to work through it, btw, it doesn't CTD. I never use anyones missions sent with a/c, always make a test mission of my own, and I had no CTD with it :} The model looks good though, I think once your got the texture mapping done and we can skin it up all nice an proper it'll look wicked IP: Logged |

Chances are, in the test mission, I have used the 109E7. Opps . Oh well. Expect an updated Beu package on Wednesday. Hopefully, the tailsurfaces will be 3D. Currently, the new beu is based on the Ju88A4 (old one), has the 6 wing guns properly allocated (4 on one side, 2 on the other, can't remember the sides right now), wingtip bombs, torpedo mount (still a slugo mount), a new loadout.ppf file with the proper calibre (but probably not the right stats) weapons, and handles a lot better. I'll probably include the cargo1 ship to go with the mission. The AI seems to be a bit clunky on take off - one bird rolled into the nearby stream and the knuckleheads behind him just sat there. All that after the first two took off unmolested. Hmmm... still very beta. Nat: I could use some loadout stats and probably some mission details. Elric has sent me some excellent plan views and cutaways that should start causing some visual changes in V.3beta (possibly next week). So far, I have the prop the right size and the rudder is now the right size. The texture is a bit off, but just a matter of changing the texture index.
