Jannet Reno, former Clinton Atty. Gen. whom republicans absolutly despise, is running for Gov. of Fla. I've watched her faint on stage so many times in the last week I'm about to puke. The republican controled news media keeps playing this clip over and over. Why weren't these health watchdogs informing us of Chaney's heart condition prior to the 2000 election? This one bit of info, aired as often as Reno's fainting spell, would have tipped the election to Gore. Just another way the republicans stole the 2000 election and are trying to influence the Fla. Gov. election. [This message has been edited by Smokey (edited 02-02-2002).] IP: Logged |

And how many pictures of Bush's bruised cheek from the pretzel fainting did we see? And how many times did we see Bush senior puke on the Japanese Prime Minister? And how many times did we see Gerald Ford fall down the steps of Air Force One? You're paranoid Smokey, these things are always covered to excess regardless of the party. Regarding Cheney, maybe you don't read enough. I certainly knew of Cheney's past heart problems before the election. Who votes for the VP anyway? Quit crying over the election. All the recounts have shown that Bush would have won even if Gore got exactly what he asked for. If it bothers you so much move to Cuba, a true "workers paradise". IP: Logged |

It's also important to remember that Gore would have won if Bush had got what he asked for. Wonderful irony on both sides. One doesn't have to control the media to get them to play that kind of shit over and over again. They'll do that for the sensational value all by themselves. When it comes to keeping information out of the media, that's another story where you get into the dark, star chamber like world often depicted quite amusingly on The Simpsons. Funny, but vey scary. ------------------ IP: Logged |

All the incidents you site were of a sitting president and not a person up for election. Not a word, that I know of, was spoken about Cheney's heart condition before the election. Every poll indicated it would be a close election. The last recount results I heard was something like Bush winning by 150 votes. If Cheney's condition would have been known prior to the election we wouldn't even remember his and Bush's name by now. I think you would like it in Cuba better [This message has been edited by Smokey (edited 02-03-2002).] IP: Logged |

Smokey, read this if you don't believe me. Chaney has had heart problems for 30 years! Including "In 1988, after suffering his third heart attack, Cheney had quadruple bypass surgery to clear clogged arteries." I'm not surprised that you don't read about candidates before an election. Why get confused with the facts when you're going to vote a straight Democrat ticket anyway? The truth may interfer with your brainwashing.
