If we find that oil producing countries (like Iraq) are connected to the WTC attack, we grab their oil fields until we pump out enough oil to pay us back the cost of all this? The $40 billion authorized yesterday, the cost of rebuilding Manhattan and the Pentagon, loses to businesses like the airlines and a substantial amount to each of the victim's families. Reparations of maybe $100 billion or so?

Is this unreasonable?

If I recall other posts correctly, I don't think we agree on much. That said, I like this idea! Probably wildly unlikely, but stranger things have happened.

My latest idea is that if we do go into Afghanistan, everybody says the long term cost of staying and installing a new regime would be a nightmare, and they're probably right. When we're done taking them out, let's give it to Pakistan as a thank you gift for helping us out! Maybe even parts of it to Iran if they actually come through. Pakistan might even lay off the whole Kashmir thing if they were occupied elsewhere, and that would make India happier!

Crazy I'm sure, but I'm getting a little punchy here on day five!
