Right, I just caught a snip of this, is the US really refusing to support a ban on these? Could someone put me straight? IP: Logged |

In an artical I read about this, they say the US doesn't want to sign because the wording isn't accurate. What I take that to mean is maybe the US feels that stuff that they don't consider to be a weapon might be taken as one if you go by the wording the ban uses. It also seemed like the whole ban thing was so messed that it could't be fixed but just changing a couple words. Maybe it means well but isn't put together properly. All that said I'm sure even if the US did sign one they would continue to make BIO weapons secretly. You can't tell me there isn't secret labs in the US researching this stuff. I'm pretty sure there is some that are working on the cure/prevent side of the problem, but how easy is it to turn that info 180 degrees and produce weapons. Just as I'm sure some other countries do and will. I'm personally not all that scarred of nukes, BIO/CHEM is my biggest fear. I live near Canadian Norad underground installation. Although I think they are shutting it down soon or have already. So we were or are a major nuke strike point. Big ol cave in the escarpment in town with an underground headquarters, similar to the one in Cheyenne Mountain. ----------------------- Today, the airport boasts a 10,000 foot runway and a Category 1 instrument landing facility capable of landing anything in the air. In fact, NASA has selected North Bay as an emergency landing location for the space shuttle. IP: Logged |
