I opened an account...I downloaded my
files....I wanna load them back ...and

IT TOOK ME 4Hrs (four!) to download back
a file that is about 18MB!!!!!
And the reason is because they put such
damn, stupid, worthless, banners on every
page you open!!! Man this sucks!!!!
I know it's free but at least a little bit
of service would be apreciated...fu**

Try www.Tripod.com Not as many banners and right now it seems to be working well. Only DONT upload with its default uploader. Get CuteFTP (Which they have a link to somewhere on the Tripod mainpage) and upload it with that...

it's NOT for HTML-Sites it's just a kind
of 'repository' for your files, so the
files can be as big as you like (myne is
18MB)...on any other 'free-web-site' offer
they're limited to about 2-5MB.

And btw I HATE banners!!!! They don't sell
more with this kind of advertising, this was
proved by a lot of reserches they've done
in the marketing-business.
THEY ALL SUCK's (well....except www.stas.net )

But gt, with Tripod you have 50MB of free space to do with as you please. You can upload stuff to there, and download it aswell all without a password. My site is hosted on Tripod and all the files available for download at my site are on Tripod.

P.S. I hate bannars aswell...

what about the max-filesize???

Im guessing the max file-size can be anything under 50MB as long as you upload it with CuteFTP. The largest files Ive uploaded are 6.something MBs. They download as well for me. Ive gotten few complaints about downloading things from my site.
