Topic: The endless Furball

Well last night me and Zoycite had a classic furball, that just did not want to end. It started out innocently enough as a bomber intercept, mission. This phase of the enguagement lasted about 10 Mins or so with the bombers being shot down. Next thing I know im picking up a faint glint of an aircraft in front of me (HUD was off). I begin to enguage and go for a quick kill, But he was no easy meat, he matched my every move and countered and got on my 6. I got tailslide invovled, and spyder showed up too, soon it was a wild maylay of dives and brusts and twists and turns, and with the hud off, it made that much harder. Soon Tail and spyder and both taken themselves out, and it was just me and Zoy again fighting for position for another 10 mins (phew!!) We each had gotton burst into each other on several occaisions, and I then landed a good one into him, and he broke off racing for the english coast, I pursued at best speed. I closed to within a distant gunshot, when flak started to go up all around me (the dirty dog had draged me in hehe) I was getting hammered, so I broke off and headed the opposite direction, towards my territory. But zoy wasnt done yet, he followed taking gun shots in the distance. I drag him towards my airfield, figureing 2 could play the flak game.. but eeegawds I forgot, my runway was bombed, theres no flak left. Now zoy is really pouring it into me, I begin to lose engine power, so I decide to try another tactic hehe. I make a hasty landing, in a field, keeping my aircraft intact, and wait fro Zoy to come strafe me. As he does, I contiunely goose my craft, spinning, whheeling all over the ground. (it took him several passes before he realized I kept moving hehehe)(That was for the flak drag you dog, I yelled). this contuiues until Zoys empty and I hear him screamm DIE!!!!!!..hehehe. Well anyway we were both exhausted bye that time (45 mins or so) that we justed ended it there. But it was great fun, just like the old dofights me and the zoyman had hehehe. All in all a gut wrenching furball, that just didnt want to end : )ps. last night also had a hilarious 2 vs 2 lancaster fight, that im still laughing about, with the end coming when me and Tailslide tryed to fly under the bridge millenium falcon style (vertical hehe).. alas

Very well flown Von. That was one of the best flights I've had in a very long time. There were many occassions when I thought that I was toast. You countered everything I could think of. My poor Pony was getting tired  That was truly a great experience, thanks for sharing it with me Von Till next time, ------------------
