Some feedback on Sunday's online session please. There were the usual problems concerning hits not being registered, crash to desktop etc., but what else. Loads of lag? Mega warps? Games too big? Missions good or bad? HUD on? Clouds off? Whatever...I had a great time and enjoyed seeing many new and old 'faces alike. ------------------ Jagdverband 44

I went on-line Monday night. It was my first time going on for any length of time and it was so cool. I got 13 kills playing against SEX who got 12. But one guy (Firedrake or something) played for a while then his plane stopped in mid-air and stayed there until I left. Before that He kept pausing and disappearing so it was impossible to kill him.Other than that it was so cool. But whenever someone is online and want to play they should go in at the turn of the hour and wait for 5 minutes or something. Instead of people missing each other by a few seconds. well Jetlag, I usually have one of the slowest machines, but all the times we went up to kick EAF's ass I had no problems with FR or anything.. the missions were excellent, even the times when I couldn't tell which way was up! LOL flying with no HUD etc in thick cloud cover is pretty wicked.. makes it so much more exciting when you FINALY come across one of those pesky spits Had a real good time Jetlag.. hope the EAF will turn up next time for a rumble------------------ JV~44 "Naturlich" If you can't beat em.... out run em! http://members.xoom.com/naturlich/ [This message has been edited by Nat (edited 02-07-2000).] IP: Logged |

Well, I got in late, so really can't give an all-encompassing reply....but I, too, have what is now considered a 'slow' machine ( Cel 333- 300a at 75 fsb ) and don't recall any major problems in the few missions I was able to get in. A little lag - not much - I didn't desktop ( yippee!! but that could change at any time, heehee ); in missions with more than 4 with clouds on, I did take a pretty hard fps hit.But totally a blast, extreme fun and serious business at same time; hope it continues!! ------------------ nealg=FC=

I flew early, and was only alble to stay for one mission. It was a realitively small one. No problems in terms of lag/warping for me, and the guys were all great.I like the Sunday get togther. You gius fly early for me, and it works out real well. Please make it a Sunday tradition. PR=FC= IP: Logged |

I am new to online SDOE and can say it is a great experience with everyone being very helpful , only wish I could work how to tramsmit messages when flying to give replies. Reckon the keyboard ini file needs work as the ~ key does not work as suggested to me. Had to reboot on the second game as I was getting bits of Desktop flashing in and also I was interfering with other planes when pressing the F5 key. On the timing I would prefer an earlier start so I can later wind down for the dreaded Monday morning. If you haven't tried it before JUST DO IT , its a totally different experience and everyone makes you feel welcome whatever your balls ups. IP: Logged |

Thanks for the info. I'm trying to think of ways to improve the online game. Keep it coming.Commando, Are you pressing the correct key. The US keyboard '~' is different to 'foreign' ones (like my UK one). The key that operates the chat mode is the one below the 'Esc' key to the left of the '1' key and prints '`' on mine. ------------------ Jagdverband 44
