Last night while flying with my squadies Rattle and Archy, (BAB Squad Night)another good night online by the way. In the third mission an event occured that I thought I should share with the newer members of the community.
After a hard fought battle of elimination. I looked around to find that there were two of us left to finish it.
Essox in his trusty Spit, and myself in a Dora.
I looked back off my four oclock to see him turning on me and the battle was joined.

Realizing of course that I can't turn with a Spit, I dove away to get some distance. I went into a split-s to get a head on pass. Essox was comming in connons blazing. I heard the hits on my Dora and saw the hits I inflicted on his plane as he roared past. The pattern was repeated twice more until in a split second on the final pass we collided and my left wing was sheared off. Well fought Essox.
As you can tell it was an even fight with very different aircraft. The lesson follows.

There have been several posts about either aircraft or joystick sensitivity. Though I have to say there is some validity to these claims, usually the problem is behind the stick.
Essox used his planes best attributes (turning radius and fire power) an I used mine, (speed and climb rate). So learn these aircrft. Know what they can and can't do. This is usually the difference in the fight. Particularly in a 1v1 arena.

It will keep the frustration down and the enjoyment up!
