Hi all! My fps is about 50 and it's in alle resulutions, OpenGL, Direct. I also tried sound on / off with no result. Can anyone help me, plz? IP: Logged |

You need to give a bit more info, eg operating system, processor, MB, Graphics card, memory, size of game cache (from your sdeamons.ini file which is in your Fightersquadron folder) and anything else you belive is relevant even remotely. Having similar effects myself but only in certain circumstances (explosions, first time near to opposing aircraft, near ground etc)and always along with the hard disk being accessed. Would really like VDU to crack this one.For more related info go to http://www.fightersquadron.com/ubb/Forum2/HTML/001198.html Good Luck [This message has been edited by Commando (edited 02-05-2002).] IP: Logged |

it sounds like video record is active, you've not accidentaly started it have you? I doubt it realy but it's always worth asking (shift Z if I remember rightly), but as Commando said, it would certainly help knowing your system specIP: Logged |

sry that you've to wait, but www.fightersquadron.com was unreachable for me. I run Win98SE with a AMD 1333MHz (1500XP), 512MB DDR and a GForce3. Where can I find the size of game cache ?I already tryed the .9 patch and evrything works fine.

there is a line in your Sdeamons.ini file which sets the size of your cache file, I will post details later when I get to right computer. Which version of DirectX do you run with ? Do you have FSAA enabled ? IP: Logged |

Fsaa is an option within your Geforce Nvidia settings, best set to off. V sync is another setting to play with, set it to off if you can live with the fast prop being rubbish (I can't so I leave it on)The setting you should have in your sdeamons.ini file is TextureCacheSize=41943040 This is the max cache size setting which would be no problem with your setup. Also add to same file this line after testing the cache size if its not already there. UseTextureCompression=1 My guess is this will fix some but not all of the stuttering, I use DX8.1 too, may that is the cause, must try patch 9 to see when stutter started. IP: Logged |

I don't have this entries in my ini, I just added them, but nothing happens. If the SDeamon.exe uses the same ini, then it dosn't make a difference, does it? (just cause the SDemon.exe works with no problems.IP: Logged |

Try deleting your cache files, go to your media folder and delete cache.tex, cache.dir . Don't worry the next time you startup SDOE they will be recreated.IP: Logged |
